If it's your first track day I would reccomend you go in the novice group even if you are fast on the road. Up to you really though.

Mike - I'd stick to novice if I were you, for the first few sessions at least, if you feel too fast for novice then ask to be moved up...they should move you if they have space.
Dave - I've never had anyone check my helmet for the ACU sticker...make of that what you will.

Nor have I but I think the big Arai logo on the front means they don't have to. If you were wearing a tatty unbranded lid they may have a closer look.
