Totally different concept to riding rutted/uneven ground or acending trails, the drift corners are inside foot off and outside foot on peg, outside foot pushes down to push bike into the ground to avoid bouncing and lifts the bike straighter than your balance is otherwise making it. The inside leg is for balance as in these sorts of corners your pretty much on the limits, you often you see the inside leg kick down on the floor on the exit to the corner... miss-time those and you bloody feel them.

LOL. Confidence and risk, can't say I'd have the confidence or ability to stand on the pegs round some Enduro courses. It's trials riders that get my admiration, I think they are the most talented of all motorcyclists.

I remember watching Kick-Start as a kid, never really thought of trials since - so had to go google Douggie.

Now while I think he was amazing, he doesnt have a pink bike.

what were you talking about then? Both feet off the pegs?

That just sounds like a shortcut to back pain.

Yeah both feet off, its a loss of balance and momentum thing, you see folk loose both then the feet come off as some sort of stabilisers even to the extent its like they're trying to walk thier bike up the hill whilst still astride it.

They'd be much better getting the power on and their weight forward but you'd be stunned at how many of those competing still did it. The top 3 riders there though were insane, a huge leap from those competing and those competing for the win. David Knight was the man in charge and feck me did he show it.
That shows the difference between him and the lower guys.
