- Backtrack from Rye down the Camber road through Lydd
- to New Romney, through Dymchurch to Hythe.
- Hythe to Folkestone
- Folkestone to Dover (not on the Alkham Valley - speed limits of 50/40/30 now - and speed cameras sometimes) via Capel, then the old A20
- Dover onwards down the A2 or other route which I cant think of to H's for some munch.

Carry onwards to Whitstable if someone would like to provide a route?
Try this for Oakdene to Rye, it'll save falling to sleep on the A20

b2016 (seven mile lane)
A 228
Left onto B2015 (maidstone Road)
First right onto B2162
main Left in Horsmonden (goudhurst Road)
Right at "T" B2079
Left B2084
Left A262
Right B2085 (To Hartley)
Right A229 (through Hawkhurst)
Left B2244 (Hastings Road)
Third Left (Dagg Lane/ towards Bodiam)
Follow through to Nortiam (Ewhurst Lane)
Right onto A28
Left onto B2088
Turn Right onto Horseshoe Lane
(between Church Lane & Rectory Lane on left)
Left onto Starvecrow Lane
Left at "T"
Right at first Junction (Church Lane)
Right A268
to Rye

some nice roads in there.

Cheers Mark.

Jake, good plan so far mate, Rictus' route is spot on for the route to Rye.

Double back as you say To Lydd (Not over keen on this as theres always lots of cars!! I prefer the run across the marsh!

Head up the 2070 to Hamstreet, then over towards Canterbury, then to whitstable.

Nonononono...dont just do it because i dont like it. I will ride anywhere, just dont see the massive attraction to Camber road. Stick with your plan mate.

no no, we will take the marsh road, for one I love it, and when we were going to be taking the a20 we would have come across it once so was going to take the camber road.

plan coming together nicely, just need some route from H's onwards

also, wondering if theres a decent a road to take from folkestone/dover to H's rather than boredom of the A2?
