I recognise too many places in that right up, from less than a month ago.

Pre trips blues for me then.

Nice write up though. Thanks Tim.

Great thread Tim. Thanks for sharing your pictures with us, I'd love to do a trip to the Alps on the bike someday.

Those 750's make a good bike for long trips don't they? My dad hasn't had any comfort issues with his. If I had the money, I'd buy his bike

Nice pics

Ive just sold my SV and wasnt going to get a bike for a while. Was looking at a KTM950SM for hooning around and a bit of long distance which I believe they are capable of after reading Orange Crush. I've never thought a SS600/750 would be suited to touring and whilst obviously there are better bikes, after reading this and other threads Im beginning to think they are more versatile than I thought. Or not....?

Sitting on my dads k6 750 (same as tims), its alittle more leaning over than my (curvy) SV. Tank is more supportive though. Pegs arnt as high as i thought and bars arnt stupid low - feels better than a GSXR600 or something like that. Loads of room in the saddle. I'm 5ft 10 and I'd happily ride it all day i think

The Alps are stunning. Spent 10 days travelling round similar places to Tim.

I know Carty and DMC had no trouble riding thier K7 600's around 3000 miles fully kitted up.
