Sorry to dredge this topic up.
Any tips on where to fit the wires for the phone/music and the wiere to the helmet. I have a baglux tank bag. Thanks! |

I have my autocom unit in the "boot" and run a wire up to the riders seat with a bit of slack so I can fix it under one of the elastic straps that hold my baglux tank cover in place. Then an extension cable runs from that lead to my helmet.
I am going to extend it to the area of the bars however, as I find the cable often gets caught between my legs and the tank. Not a big problem but it can be a pain. Extension leads are around £15. To power the iPod you will be a power outlet. These can be bought as specialist items or you could use a lighter point from a car and then buy an in-car power lead from the iPod. Wire it to the battery directly, but use a relay to switch the power on and off so it can't be left on by accident. Use the feed from the rear light to switch the relay. |
