Apparently he's at the most cruicial stage of his recovery so if he drops the bike and damages the knee then its back to square one

I would say ignore the doctor, if you can physically sit/ride, but that would be silly.....

Yer I mean technically I can get on but I gotta put on the sensible hat really, stay off the bike for a couple extra months to make sure its healed and then next year ill be 100% ready for the warm weather.
