The ZX9 is a great bike(Ive got one)and should be available at really keen prices.Out of prodution for about four years, and a bit "old school"so unfashionable with the journos and weekend warriors. Its a bit heavier and less"focused"than the current stuff, and the seat is softer and wider,as are the bars, but that makes it useable and practical.Talking of which,I did a run out on mine recently and checked the fuel consumption.Brim full to brim full and 134 miles it used 10 litres.Work it out.
Awesome Would you recommend them then? I'm not looking for an all-out sportsbike. As much as I'll track it a couple of times a year, the majority of my journeys are 200 mile motorway slogs.
There seems to be so many different models, I gather post-98 is generally recommended. Have you any pointers to models or faults?

Cheers

There were a few gearbox failures on one of the C models but generally they are fine if looked after.Id go for the newest one thats affordable, post 2000 E or F ones are well sorted.Great motorway munchers, with 50 MPG easy, and 60+ at legalish speeds.Sports touring rubber sees good tyre life too.Like most Kwaks the rear shock is a bit basic, but the old style front end is fine.

I'm looking at 01-02 bikes really. It's not the prettiest bike in the world...and some of those paint schemes terrify me! I can't decide if they're chavvy or just larey!
Now I'll just need to shift my SV ... anyone?
