It's then up to them as to whether they adjust the premium. Generally, for three points, they won't.

When I got my 3 points I called the insurers who said they were only interested at renewal time.

Hmm. It's best to notify your insurers as soon as you have the points, but they won't make any changes to the premium until renewal time. The last thing you want to do is leave any scope for an insurer to weasel out of a claim due to a change in material facts.

Go shopping to celebrate. The place I'm getting the Gixer from has two 600s, one blue/white, one yellow/black. Suit you, sir!

My primary motivation with the thou is that it is future proof ie I wont feel the undying need to upgrade in 1yr time. This will allow me to mod it a bit and do my own servicing etc. I also reckon that if I am already thinking about a thou then I wont last long on the 600. I'm not too concerned about it being too powerful as I know that I'm not going to get stupid with it...I dont get carried away like sime! Need to sit on a load of differnt bikes and get a feel for all the different bikes/manufactures on the market but currently torn between a 2007 600rr or a 2005 blade. Thoughts?
