I reckon Fizz's version works better... No sppace for a number, still... So get a cover, paint it white as well, number on the cover. Just don't try and use the headlights! But it'll look fine when not attached, and excellent when attached (for photos, daytime rides if you don't use your lights while riding (which I reckon you should, but that's by the by)
You could also have a clear cover with the number on, but that might look ridiculous  Loads of places can do you for covers, Powerbronze and Skidmarks both make them, and they come up on Ebay sometimes too.
