Re: First Dropped Bike! Help needed In Reading
You'll have to keep an eye out mate for any rides organised. But as a general rule, TVSF goes into hibernation during the cold weather.
Me being a family man, I don't tend to get out that much at the weekends anyway. But always 'try' to make any rides planned. |

Tbh it was hard enough getting people out for rides when it was warm and sunny.

Re: First Dropped Bike! Help needed In Reading
Fairy nuff! I am reasonably new to this area and new to biking so don't know the good roads yet for weekend/afternoon rides! I have started to ride to work to let the missus have the car but haven't had a really cold day yet. The new 'windstopper' balaclava is a god send though!

Re: First Dropped Bike! Help needed In Reading
Ogden's right you know. But this Summer was really the first proper summer of the TVSF section. We all now know each other much better and I am sure next season is going to be much busier than this one was. I certainly plan to have more weekends out on the bike for sure.

Re: First Dropped Bike! Help needed In Reading
I actually rode a bike today. Not very far (home -> office -> soho -> home) but christ did it feel good.
Ordered a new rear indicator to replace the broken one... operation Get Ogden On A Litrebike is well on track.

Did they want paying by Western Union or something?

See now, I would have not only not trusted him with anything what-so-ever. I would now be worrying about my own motorcycle.

Re: First Dropped Bike! Help needed In Reading
Some bloke offered to buy my car in Kilburn once. The car in question was a knackered fiesta with a bent chassis, so many dents in the bodywork it looked like it was coated in bubble-wrap and a smashed quarterlight courtesy of some local scrote.
Me? Suspicious? Utterly bewildered, more like. Should've taken his offer - it was taken away and crushed not long after.
