Cool. Do you think he'd do a straight swap with me for a 10 month old GS500F? Sorry... GS500RR...
unfortunately for you he won't , seeing as it will be my bike by sunday lunchtime i hope!!! Really can't believe my luck and won't until it's in my garage next to my lovely sv

As a quick aside, anyone know what is the best roal legal can for a vfr...I'm looking for oval with removable baffles, deep throaty sound, not too bothered about performance increase and with the least hassle possible really. I really just want to release that v4 sound

Default I bought it...

I made a mistake, it is actuually a '99 vfr but still an absolute bargain. Test rode it this morning, within 5 minutes I knew I was gonna buy it so I did. Left my SV in his shed and rode it for 200 miles today. I love the engine, handles pretty good and feels lighter than it should!!! One chuffed bunny.

The banana rides again!!!

My brother has the 2000 one, does yours have a caytlitic exhaust? If so i think it needs some extra work to change the exhaust.
I only went around the block on his, but its so smooth on the acceleration.

That i am not sure, probably going to be a hard job.

I also think the VFRs have O2 sensors on the exhaust pipes which can play up causing jerky throttle and problems with aftermarket pipes. Not sure what years, but this is what i have read. There are work arrounds though.

Chutz...Ignore all the neggy comments coming out.VFR is a GREAT bike.Might not be for everyone but they are superb. When sat having a nice cool drink with my son yesterday one went by us with a lovely sounding can on it. Not too loud but letting you know the real difference in sound from an IL4 a Vee twin etc. Lovely note!

A Vee 4 could be my next choice despite my hairy moments with my V Max! I think Ducati have pretty much squeezed out all that can be had from a twin. Cant wait to see what they introduce in 2007. Although I will be more ready for a Pan or a Wing by then! (Although my son doubts it...God love him!)
