The Ixion days are meant to be a bit slower. I'm sure you're not as slow as you're making out!

to be honest phil it was the last session of the day AND I was around 2nd or 3rd fastest in novice (should really have asked to be moved upto inters)..

Novice only day will be ideal for you

i'm liking the video, shame about the 2 bugs splats on the lense and the traffic you had.

i'm thinking that gixxer was a 750 'cos the number plate looked like a 10 reg to me, meaning that a 1000 would have twin exhausts, whereas the 600 and 750 have just one IIRC.

I was taking it to the redline on mine and he was pulling away no problem whatsoever - although I remember reading that this & last years 750 is around 150bhp? Been considering gearing mine down a little bit.... how often do I use 170mph (on the clocks anyway)?

i couldn't call myself an expert, but i'd say the power a '98 750 is putting out is probably a fair bit less that what a new one is putting out.
