Also the middle one falls on my pay day, anything around pay date time is surely going to be better as peeps might have a little more disposable income at that time as well

Sythree has dropped me a line, he's happy to help me sort out the Shropshire option.
Let's leave the venue for the time being and sort out a date. We can then paste into the diary. I'm getting lot's of stuff for June and July, so I need a solid date soon. john

I also would like to avoid the Donington GP weekend, the Shropshire route sounds ok.

As long as it ain't half term...
I've never been to Lincolnshire so I have no idea what it's like. But I can honestly say that the route I've suggested is fabulous. Yes it's on my doorstep, but it really is a terrific ride. The roads are good, lots of twisties (eg on the A458 just before Kiddie, a good few on the A44 and also on the A483) and the scenery is a mixture of pretty to amazing, especially on the A44 when you go from chocolate box Herefordshire villages to wild Welsh hills in next to no time. If we go through Ironbridge - we don't have to - the noise would be fabulous as the valley is steep and narrow. And you'd see the iron bridge!!! (and a very ugly power station ) And S'bury really is a nice place, lots of places to stay/camp - one really nice site just by the river at Montford Bridge in the grounds of a pub, The Old Swan. Will progress with John the admin and see what happens. Incidentally, this isn't a done deal, it's not my decision. |

LINCOLNSHIRE, the scenery may be flat but the route that Bigape picked has some good riding.

I have now entered a poll in the AR06 section with the dates that Steve suggested.

Whoever is organising it could always pop over to my old forum, MSN group Thundercats and pose a few questions there. They have their annual rideout start at welshpool every year as thats where the founder is based. |
