I have something to say generally on the matter. I got a right panning last time - and it stung. I don't want to re-opene the debate, suffice to say that I think that people have to accept that on smaller rides it is simply too much hassle to arrange piles of markers and that people need to take responsibility for reading the map and the road signs. TBH this is why I haven't organised anything since.

Just my opinion from a relatively inexperienced group rider, the drop off system is the best imo, its easy and it works.

Cool, so will this be a Marches Meander ride then guys? If you are doing the Elan Valley I'll avoid it on my backroads ride.

Yeah, now MM3. Only calling in at the Elan Valley visitor centre for lunch but not going around the reservoirs. Plan is,, Shrewsbury, Buildwas, poss to Ironbridge if (anyone wants to) Much Wenlock, Quatt, ( short stop for drink) Across the Corvedale to Ludlow, Crossgates, Elan Valley centre for Lunch. Newtown, Churchstoke and back to Shrewsbury, maybe stop at my place for drinks.
Date to be posted soon i hope, all in all about 160 miles of biking Nirvana.

That's right Nobbylad and those are PROVISIONAL. I expect each person who wants to organise a rideout will start a thread for their ride. This thread is really to encourage ideas for rideouts and get offers to organise.
