I cooked some Waitrose frozen peas (with mint) the other day. When I tipped them out onto the plate, I realised I had an added bonus - escargot! I just tipped the snail in the bin and ate the peas.

Just FYI.

When I had my most recent "Oh look there's a nice comfy bit of tarmac: wonder what it'd feel like to hurl this here motor bicycle at it?" moment I came home and stuck some frozen peas on my swollen member (My knee, get your minds out of the gutter!)

I was in so much pain I couldn't get up to either return the peas to the freezer or get myself anything else to eat so I lived on defrosted peas for a day.

Didn't do me any harm

Gibber gibber wibble my old mans a mushroom etc.

Can't be any worse than the usual condensation you'll find in any petrol tank. Even the best quality petrol has a trace of water in it.

i can think of two possible reasons...

the water has all the plasticisers (or whatever they are so called) and chemicals like that in, and perhaps the plastic does slowly degrade into the water. A lecturer was talking about this yesterday, saying how 40 years ago there was no illness due to no bottled waters to carry around (i.e. just tap water) , yet today everyone drinks bottles of it all the time because they feel they have to. He was also saying that a couple of weeks of water in a bottle, and it is fine, but he maintained that as it comes to about 8 weeks the levels of some plastic business (perhaps those plasticisers) become many fold greater than government standards... perhaps i should have been listening better and would have remembered what the stuff was. things that aren't a medicine do not have to be thoroughly labelled, like a herbal drink could say it has a gram of this substance, whereas it could have non or more than a gram.. theres no control

and secondly, it could be to do with sterile manufacture? perhaps small amounts of particulates get into the bottle during the manufacture and filling processes... not too sure

Never underestimate the humble pisum sativum. They can adjust chain tension too.

I'm quite curious to know whether you're taking the pi$$ or not

My tanks dented to buggery and this would be a cool way to pop it out
