Opinion seems decidedly divided to me. I don't think anyone would claim he is a saint, he's just not sickeningly p.c like most TV personalities. I respect him for that, even if he isn't a fan of the motorcycle - who cares by the way?

Top Gear IS Jeremy Clarkson at the moment. May and Hammond are expendable comparitively. It would be such a shame to break up the trio, though, it's such an excellent comic combination.

They should all be around for this series and (hopefully) a while yet. Topgear is the most downloaded programme in the UK (on iPlayer) and the world through illegal file-sharing, it is estimated that something like 300 million people around the world watch it. Would be a bad move to break up a success story like that - it's the one thing that people from across Europe all talk about.

I was working in Asia recently and a young guy asked me what series we were on in the UK as they really love it there.
