Re: Hardy Bikers Weekend
Oh yeah, sorry Id kinda forgotten we were the only 2 lasses in the bunkhouse then! Can't say I'd mind being in my own room much, as long as I'm away from all the snorers!

Re: Hardy Bikers Weekend
Don't think thats possible, unless you manage to find somewhere to pitch a tent pr get used to wearing earplugs in bed.
Rictus: I think the route is a bit like freeform jazz... all I can remember is that it was GSXR-unfriendly (probably perfect for the duke though) with very few forays into anything like civilisation but some damn good picture opportunities. I've had a hunt and can't see a route posted anywhere though. |

Re: Hardy Bikers Weekend
We only ride on one day Mark. Meet up on the Saturday, ride, lunge, drink, fall asleep
Can't remember how many miles we did last year, but it wasn't as collosal as your epic three days. As for it being GSXR unfriendly, it wasn't higher geared SV friendly either, I'll be defo taking the yellow one, as she proved to be a winner when I did the first day of Rictus' epic ride.

Re: Hardy Bikers Weekend
thats about the size of it. Last year most of us met at Lancaster services, then went straight onto the rideout. I'm not sure if anybody did a Sunday run. Its very errrr random weather at that time of the year up there. I'm sure YC, PMapp and DavePreston could tell you of the snow they encountered on the recce. I'm not sure, but I think the route had to be re-thought after that as some of the roads were inaccessible to us at this particular time of the year.
Some of the passes you did on your epic ride, won't be a great place to be if its snowed. It would be suicidal!
