G: Me and dave of the numbers will probably be following a similar sort of route to yours, but we wouldn't be leaving sheffield until mid-afternoon. If you fancy it, could probably meet in Matlock or somewhere similar.

I'm only an hour away and not in the direction most are coming from so I'll either go direct or can meet up earlier in the day in Bala or Llangollen/Ponderosa etc. Have got the day off work so I'm easy.

Christopher, could you contact LuckyPants and get a rough idea of where he's going and then maybe try to go somewhere different. Caernarfon possibly but obviously avoiding the A5 where practical but doing the Pen-y Pass. Just a thought.

I've got the afternoon off work - It's unlikely I'll be able to bike to work though...however my house is actually en route from the city centre to matlock so hopefully not a big deal?
Can just bomb back don my bike gear and meet you somewhere.

I wasn't planning on doing many miles on the Friday really, to take in the Pen-y-Pass would mean something like:

Which I imagine takes in a couple of roads we might be riding over the weekend (not ideal if it does) and might be too far or time consuming for some after riding a fair distance before hand.

I'd personally rather just head to the Triangle for a bit of fun (I could ride those couple of roads over and over quite happily ) and stop for photos whenever then do decent miles over the weekend.

Will speak to Mike tomorrow evening if we both make it to the Border Patrol evening meet about roads that might clash.
