They do have random stops during the busy bike months, but you should be OK now. They are hot in Bala in the summer. If you get a tug then yes, done for load can and small plate - although on NW4 3 bikes were pulled with 'defects' and were just given advice. For defects read loud cans, number plates etc

My advice is to stick to 40 and 30 limits, ride safely and not give plod an excuse to pull you.

Both me & Quiff have been done on different occasions. I was in Bala doing about 5 mph when I got pulled. I now stay well away from that part of Wales - as nice as it is.

Heddlu is the reason I will not go to Wales. It is a pity, North Wales particularly and also the Black Mountains are great places. But unwarranted stops, threats to prosecute for imaginary offences because I am an English *******, despite being able to disprove that allegation mean I will never visit Wales again.

I have been stopped twice in Cars and 3 times on bikes

I know this is a jinx for me but living in Bristol and being next to the bridge South Wales is our stomping ground and so far the worst incident we've had is a breakdown on the west cost (sproket came off ) and ValleyBoy taking wrong turns.

And we've done ALOOOOT of miles over there

I have to admit there is a big difference between North and South Wales. My only meetings with South Wales coppers has been 1 unfortunate breakdown on the motorway, when the cop turned up. chatted. chased up the recovery. did not mind us have a few beers whilst waiting on the embankment as nobody was going to be driving that day. Declined one himself.

and those around the millennium stadium who again have been excellent. Poor racist coppers are a north wales thing.
