Try a classified add mate. I've always had more luck with them on ebay. At least then people actually come to see the bike in person, so they can see its in good nick. I think they work out about ?13 or something like that. It's always more tempting to buy when you can actually sit on it etc rather than just looking through pages of auctions.

Thanks for the tips, I have had a look on biketrader and MCN today. There are a few nice looking SVs for sensible money so I think I'll go for that. I'm a teacher, so I'll time it for the Easter Hols so that I can allow as many as want to come and see the bike.
My bad on the price. If it had made £10k, I would have accepted that  In the mean time, if you hear of anyone looking for a clean, honest and INEXPENSIVE bike, pass on my details! |
