Actually, I think whether or not you can do that will depend on the graphics/video card you have in the PC ... if the bloke in the shop didn't mention this vital piece of information, I'd be a bit miffed if I was just expecting the screen to accomplish this task on its own

They might possibly mean if you load a pdf up, it will happily display two sides next to each other and they would be readable. Another possibility to your small text problem is either you are not used to it (I went from like 640x480 to 1440x900 and everything lookked well small but I am used to it now) or maybe you can select a lower res only in the same aspect ratio?

just bought same monitor - awesome size! Terrible contrast though, even on 100% it cant show deep blacks compared to my old illyama. Still, its big enough to have google and tv going at the same time.

To change to two page view you can either click on the 'read' icon (depending on what version you are using) or change the view scale down from 100% until it is small enough to fit the two pages on the screen.
