The Hairnet wins on build quality hands down. Done 15,000 miles on it last year including winter months and it still looks like new.
Indeed it does look V nice. Gotto say though SV wins on noise. Sorry dave (I know you admit it) but sawing machine big style!

Seems a nice bike. To be fair though they do cost ?1K more new. You can (almost) get a new SV thou for that .

I had the new one as a hire bike for over a month. The styling is okay but that exhaust is not my cuppa. Handles well but doesn't seem to go as well. That said mine has a straight through can and the hire bike still had cats in it so could have been the problem. That said the Italian hornet cup version made me horny.

Still rather have an SV though...
Well said that man! Bikings not about how well the bike does what it does, thats just transport. Bikings about what the bike does for you as an individual. If you enjoy a smooth ride and top end revvy hooligan madness, the Hornets a great bike.

My colleague has rented a Moto Guzzi Breva 1100 for a work biking weekend, it'll probably be a pile of crap that doesn't go round corners unless you're he-man, but I'm sure I'll still love it!

The SV does do well restricted 'cos of the low down grunt. The Hornets not a good bike to restrict.
