Not to burst anyones bubble here, but you do realise it probably private property (Highways agency) and will be removed ?
Cheers Mark.

I seem to recall reading that Councils don't like roadside memorials - and although they may let them go on for a little while, they do get "tidied away"......... I do appreciate that memorials is a tricky one and the feeling of wanting to publicly mark the existence as well as the passing of someone. Is their anywhere else (Pub / Cafe / Mountain! / etc) that Mark had a connection to - where arrangements could be made? Or a bit off left field.......what about a "living" memorial - the Org could sponser a kid in the 3rd world? Not wildly expensive - and in some yer get letters back / progress reports (albeit it would probably need someone prepared to act as a back stop, should the org go pop in 5 years time)........could really change someone's life..........and in 15 years time could be someone roaring around Africa or Asia on the trickest SV650 ever Just thinking aloud........... |

How about seeing if Fox's would let it be mounted on one of their walls?

Re: Plaque for the site of Marks crash - Suggestions
Probably quite accurate about the highways agency tidying it up after a while; if it were allowed then we would see many more plaques around. I myself am a little uncomfortable with loads of public displays of grief, I don't know why. I just like to remember him in my own way. Maybe Fox's can do a "Mark burger" or something.
