Bet the insurance help counter-balance that though!
Im paying ?420/year living in London TPFT and I'm 29 so not too bad.

What you can't see in the picture though is the garage insurance company insisted I had, which involved moving house and paying a shed load of rent every month, but it's worth it

So far I've spent about ?600 on it including can, tyres, clutch, R&Gs, calipers, chain and sprocket etc, but I was happy to pay ?1500 for it.

On a lighter note, my dad just sent me some crash protectors over from Melbourne. I reckon they were named by an Englishman:

Quibbler

I will take yer word on it, I kinda lost interest in bikes before the Gaythunder arrived.

Although I loved the EXUP - I bought it brand spanking new in May 1991.........I will admit to being kinda P*ssed when the Fireblade came out shortly after .......this years hot poop always becomes a nearly ran.......

I went from a ZZR1100D2 to my Ace, and it did everything the ZZR did but handled far better, braked far better, and was even more comfy on a run. I think the only real downside of owning an Ace is their ability to use oil when they have a few miles under their wheels. The good thing is the oil light isn't an oil pressure light, it's an oil level light. You have to be a complete and utter muppet to run one out of oil.

Any thoughts?

Yeah. The bike used in Top Gun wasn't a ThunderAce, or even a Yamaha for that matter. IIRC it was a Kawasaki GPZ900R, but I stand to be corrected on that. Deffo a Kwacker though.

Yes; the point was that naming a bike "ThunderAce" is sort of gay. And Top Gun is the gayest movie ever. Combine the two and you're heading to Danger Zone...

And not to upset anyone; I've nothing against any sexual orientations, as long as they don't include children or animals.

Now, off to Yamaha dealership.

Ace is now parked home. So no-more SV; maybe we get one if the ms. decides to get a license.

I had the fairings already fixed but never had a chance to see how they look like in a bike. That sucks, but got a good deal on the Ace. The engine has been rebuilt about a year ago so my worst fear of having an oil burner are gone.. New tyres, fork seals etc.. Just need to put gas in.

Thanks!
