erm i wouldnt know bout holding the bike without falks.
You could try alot of flat wood underneeth and lower it onto that, think most people use big things that hold it from the swing arm bolts so its centre of the bike.

I think i mentioned but try a local radiator place... none of this bike pecific stuff, as they charge stupid prices.
bike place - £250 ... a new one is £300 odd or more.
normal radiator place £150 everything repainted aswell.

after a week of polishing its looking ok. new bars are on and got some plastic putty stuff to fix rest of it.
still abit suspect about my folks as i know even abit off can break the seals and what not.
