Just thought, i am going to need to get stuff across to Wales and dont fancy wearing a backpack. So i might get back to you.

Are you not claiming anything on the insurance??? Were you not covered for track days etc By the sounds of the damage it sounds hefty / worth contacting them.

Wish I could mate but that's a no go . Even if I could, I think for the hike in premium I might as well just fix it. It's a risk you take isn't it?! I'm fairly philosophical about it. I had a good day, it'll just end up being a very expensive one!

No insurance covers you for a tradkday unless its specific trackday insurance.....and even then its only third party.

I looked on ebay last night, you can get pretty much most of the major stuff for £340 and thats in the right colours......couldnt find a tank or tank cover though

Edit, as you say though, everyone knows the risk before they do it, and its certainly worth it, although it may not seem that way for you right now

I've had a quick look today and there are certainly a lot of parts going which is good. I might have sourced a tank through gixerjunkies.com, fingers crossed. In fact, there's loads of helpful peeps over there too and I've had a few responses for various bits.
