Wow so much advice!! Cheers guys n gals

I had heard about those gyroscope things before but wasn't really sure what they did and I'm sure I've got chinese balls somewhere but suspect they are just cheapy ones.

Had a chat with my mate last night (typical bloke with huuuuuge forearms) and he told me about something a few climbers he knew used which is like a block with springs for each finger (a bit like a trumpet) not got a clue what they are called but apparently they're quite good too. I know someone mentioned climbing earlier - I've done a wee bit in the past but never frequently enough for it to make a difference, might have a look into it again!

Loads of things to try - plus I think I'm gonna go swimming after work tonight, if I can fit into my swimsuit

I have a Metolius grip saver cos i do climbing http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/metolius-grip-saver-plus/CORECEKE0212025. I had to see a physiotherapist becos i knackered the ligaments in my wrist and took it along - he was so impressed with it that he went and bought some for his patients.

Miss yorkie chris's ball is wonderful, I had to do a grip text to join the job and increased my forearm strength with one of those, just sat there watching TV with my ball whizzing around in my hand - good piece of kit

When I saw the title of this thread, I wondered how long it would take before someone suggested firing off some knuckle children.

I even tried to be careful with my wording cause I knew it wouldn't take long!!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions - in the first place I think I'm going to try and get one of those gyroscope thingys that missyorkiechris suggested - ShellyWoozle did you find your handstrength improved as your forearm strength did?

And ScoobyDrew that looks weird and I can't tell from the picture how it would work!!! But since they sell them in Hubby's "favourite shop in the world ever" (yep, thanks for that ) I'm sure I'll see one soon.
