Go for a fresh pair of trainers, nothing too sports though, something like addidas superstars nice and plain and classic old school. looks good with jeans and a long sleeve shirt and stops it looking too casual.

avoid t shirts though go for a polo shirt if you must. Nothing worse than turning up in jeans and a t shirt and she is in a nice dress?

Next do a good line in smart casual without being too designer, avoid anything too bright like yellow etc. Blue jeans and a black or white shirt will look clean and classy.

good luck, remember hygiene is everything with girls so scrub up!

Well I'd be suspicious of a squeeky clean guy with stinky aftershave, spotles clothes and polished shoes, and think he was a bit of a weirdo if he kept staring and smiling.

But then i'm attracted to the long hair hippy type that smell of engines and petrol, and do rolling burnouts to impress you on your doorstep and have a particularly dark sense of humour.
