Before I joined the org I was riding my old Bandit round locally when I happened across a cute young lady on a ratty looking black naked curvy SV at a level crossing. She looked terrified and was obviosly lost. A quick conversation revealed that she'd had a licence for some time but had never ridden outside of London. She was terrified of all the bends and as a result had missed a few junctions. I guided her slowly to the correct route and then waved her goodbye.

I don't go mental on the roads any more, but there are thousands of posts out there in internetland where I openly admit to riding like a complete nobber at speeds way in excess of the legal limit. It's those sorts of posts that could still help to have me locked away if they were presented as evidence.

I've done that. Totally failed on most occasions Though I've brought people in from other sites, and at least one real person. And I've been asked "Are you on the org" a couple of times, which was nice. Randomly managed to go to the scottish bike show one year and not meet a single scottish organist, then met 2 of the essex crowd in the car park

well this is all good, i feel a bit less of a nerd now lol.

when I first joined id chat to my mrs about the help id recieved on here...so id be like "(insert an org techy name DD, YC, NW) said i need to pull the carbs out and do this that or the other"

she used to really take the p*ss outta me,

but now, few months later, she;s asked questions like "how did DD get on with his proposal" etc...

so although she is not a member....she has still been converted!!

I have the cards Baph did, but don't have any in my bum-bag at the moment (must print more). Have often left cards on random SVees at the various biking honey pots around N. Wales.
