Jeez my friend's a pakistani lad and he calls himself a paki. He's got terms like PE for paki engineering (bit of tape will sort that kinda thing), and Pee Breed, i'm sure you'll guess that one.
The only people who decide it's racist are posh white people and the news of the world.

Ahhh, but the head of the ramadan society was brought in to BBCnews24. To basically say that he thought it was disgusting and he should apologise. I'm sure underneath the guy couldn;t give two hoots, but politically and publically has to call for something to be done.
I know far too many asian folk from work that call each other much worse than the 'paki' word. And they see it as jesting, even when those that aren;t the same shade of skin colour get in on it, and the jibes fly back and forth along the production line. Off they go to break time laughing and joking patting each other on the back

Names between friends mean nothing, this has been discussed many times before. However it is because he is the Prince that every single thing he does is blown out of all proportion. I'd have disowned the Royal Family by now but no doubt there are many perks to being a member so then again I probably wouldn't!

But wasn't he just describing his friend in the platoon he was in?? without any malice intended? I'm sure they have a few names for him too.. Hes publically apologised but the media machine will string it out as far as they can to get some sort of uproar reaction.

Exactly. Between friends. Usually malicious name calling is backed up by other venomous actions like fist shaking and threats, people always jump to conclusions and take offence when not necessary but there we are, political correctness goes overboard these days.
