This topic reminds me of the religious studies teacher i had in year 11.
We were learning about free will and the way god knows everything that will happen in our lives. I said that this pretty much cancells out free will if god knows what will happen (nothing new here, a pretty big debate anyway).
He also said that god has a plan for everyone. So i said that god obviously plans for babies to be aborted then, because it does happen, and aparantly theres no way to go against god's will.

He was rather offended and completely dismissed my comment! Another ignorant christian.

When he said he did ask him if he didn't think it was a little arrogant to ask god to change his eternal plan just to suit his requests...

youve kinda missed the point...

while god has a plan, and knows your furture, he dosent insure the outcome is his will. his plan might be for you to have a baby, then you exersise free will and get it aborted.

if you are trying to argue that there is less free will in believeing in god than in believing in fate, you are wrong!!
