675's are IMHO getting as common as GSXR's are.. whereas you dont see that many 749 / 999's about so you still get that wow factor with it. Running costs and reliability arent as bad as you think they are either.

If i had another 6k to buy a bike i'd get a Duke 749 or 999 if i could find a good one.. Not too many of them around and they go and sound the muts nuts!!!

'the my engine management light has come on again/Bike has used 1ltr of oil in 1000 miles/ bike in limp home mode again/ Strange electrical fault problem!' threads then ![]() I love the 675's, hell I nearly bought one and pretty much put a deposit down on one but.......there always that niggle about reliability and service/repair bill when they gone wrong.....which they do and was the main reason I looked elsewhere in the end. Just as bad as 'older' ducatis

That's why I went GSXR, plan on doing 40k kms in the next 4 years and I know they can take it.
I'm not saying the 675s can't, it's just I'm not sure, I was very tempted (although 750 GSXRs are cheaper out here which swayed the final decision). |
