See page 1....

Needs a rear brake light, and im guessing most "track" bikes have had the loom cut out the rear end.

Can be done though. But i'd rather get something with some history to it.

Im picky.

Oh and Greek, if you want something with more life than the Falco, you can pick an old Blade up for resonably cheap

Off to look at a Steelie on Sunday, has a bit of cosmetic damage to it, but he is looking at about £400 - £500, so bargains are out there

Hell yeah, that is a bargain. I loved my CBR so much, although it gave me back trouble commuting and riding it for long distances I think I may get another for a track bike.

I've just bought a K5 GSXR 1000 track bike to replace my ZX7/9R, so the Kwak's for sale if your interested.
1997 ZX7R with a B1 ZX9R engine bored to 940cc (Bob Farnham did all the engine work), Making just under 150 bhp at the wheel.
Full Akrapovic titanium system with two end cans, one carbon for track/race only, the other titanium with a removable road baffle.
Full race fairing, but I've fitted the rear light and the front split is as per the original fairing so I can swop the top half for the road fairing with the headlights in it. (just no indicators). Takes about five minutes to do.
Three sets of wheels, all with discs.
Rear sets, Brembo radial master cylinder.
Maxton suspension front and rear.
Obviously painted green because we all know the green ones are fastest...still fairly smart apart from a dent in the left side of the tank which I've been meaning to get knocked out for years....
The bike is currently sorned, and the MOT runs out soon, but I'll get a years MOT on it before i sell it.
I've also got a shed full of bits and pieces, including various bits of road fairing, the 750cc engine, the ZX9 frame (still registered to me, obviously sorned) in fact all the ZX9 less the front end,
The bike is awesome on the road, especially around the Nurburgring where the legendary front end inspires just so much confidence. Goes pretty well on the track to, just a little on the heavy side compared to the latest generation of Superbikes, hence I've finally had to move on.....
I'm looking for about £2,000 for the whole lot........PM me if your interested.

It does not need a brake light, in fact it's illegal to have one on a daytime MOTd bike.

If you read the MOT tester's manual to the letter it says that if you have no headlight then you are not allowed a brake light or tail light.

My trackbike has no lights or indicators at all, I take it to the strictest MOT station in the area (Flitwick Motorcycles) and it passes. I've gone as far as removing the light switch from the right switchgear and even taken the entire left switchgear off and fitted a simple horn push-button on the bars and yoke mounted choke knob thingy.
