Na i didnt really look at where the air filter was. I didnt want to do too much to it since i had to re assemble it for college.

Without the exhaust it sounds epic! I rode round the block twice and it was sooooo loud. Everyone was looking at me. I rode past some guy washing his bandit and he looked really confused.
It didnt seem to go as fast as usual, but it sounded amazing.
To be honest i can understand why its illegal

If you had a way of measuring it you'd probably find it used up more petrol than normal too. The valve timings on most engines have the inlet and exhaust valves open at the same time so that the departing gases help to suck the fresh mixture into the cylinder.

With no exhaust the hot gases leave faster and pull some fresh mixture straight through the cylinder and out the other side. Result, less power and some petrol wasted, oh and lots of noise from those fast moving gases.
