My fuel light started flashing on my way into work. I forgot all about it on the way home. When I did realise it had stopped flashing and was just staying on. I'd ridden about 35 miles since it started flashing. Check out how much it took to fill it up!

My light on my 1999 curvy starts to blink after 13 litres of fuel has been consumed. Or rather, given its a 17 liter tank (or is it 16? Haynes manual and suzuki manual differ!) its when there is 4 (3?) litres remaining.
I generally do about 10 miles per litre, sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less. I factor in 30 miles before all the remaining fuel is gone. |

I have a K9 and not so long ago ran out of fuel on the M8 near the Royal infirmary. I knew the light was solid but was too lazy to fill up. Lol well i paid the price by running out of gas on the outside lane on the way to work at 7.30am.
I waited 10 mins and tried staring it again and it did. I managed to get off the motorway before the bike stalled again. Thank goodness for that didn't fancy being stranded on a motorway for too long during rush hour ![]() But from flashing light to solid and then out of gas I got 58.2 miles I guess the moral of the story is, always fill up when you can ![]()

i have a k7, am told flashy comes on at a gallon left and solid is at 1.5ltr. Most i have ever ridden on flashy is 42 miles and solid was still not on.....was too chicken to ride further without filling up.
