I wouldn't rely on a think bike sticker....but I do have one.....

Couple of weeks ago I was cruising in the slow lane at 60 (Eco drive) when I saw a BMW approaching in the middle lane. As he cruised past he obviousley noticed the sticker, leand to his left, opened his flip front helmet waves and gave me first a thumbs up, then a bike revving sign. I first thought nutter!!! LOL but it was nice.

I've had a few instances of people thanking me for doing nowt simply cause of the sticker. I think the best advice is use your mirrors in the car as much as u do on the bike, it's amazing how little people use them in a car. Secondly, use lifesavers, I find them just as useful in the car, thirdly, move over early, clearly and indicate if neccesary. Fourthly, leave the space between you and the car in front. Finally, one people often forget is move over if possible when bikes are on the other side approaching, as you nearly always get a nod as It aids their filtering.

Aside from that I can't think of any other way of catching their attention. But in hindsight, we bikers have to concentrate loads more so if a car was busy waving hello to me I probably wouldn't notice as I'd be concentrating on the other prats!!!

Will stop ranting now.

Why not wear your lid in the car, then give em a nod as you past, like on the bike?
