I don't want to cause too much bother because it is my parents that will have to put up with him for years to come after I move out. But I just can't be bothered putting up with his cr@p
Get right up in his face and tell him to Fu*k Off before you plank him one. Guaranteed he'll call the police, but then you only have to deny deny deny, and without a witness they don't have a case. When the Police have gone, keep your promise and plank him one. Worked for me when a neighbour of mine started getting shirty about my mates turning up at all hours. I never got any more bother from him.

I had a neighbour (friend of my Mum actually, and one of those Police security analysts with a stupid name that you could never understand) complain about my bike being "too loud and having woke her up". Bear in mind this lady lives about 15 meters from my house and my exhaust is pointing away from her house (so it wouldn't be as loud anyway)

I started it up at 9.30am a few Sundays ago so it could warm up a bit and send the oil round while I spent about 2 minutes putting lid and gloves on... got home after having a day out with my old man and found out she had complained. Yet when I start up at 8am for work on weekday next door never complain and they're a right bunch of ****y buggers!

Seriously neighbours can get stuffed. Screw them all haha

Park it so your back wheel is inline with his front door. Knock on the door and jump on your bike. Just as he opens the door, start it and do a huge burnout in his face. That out to shut him up.
you don't ride a 50cc scooter by any chance?

There's some excellent advice on here, especially if you just want to aggravate the situation...... Good to see the coppers had some sense and did their bit, however the chances are they also told him what he should have done which is to get in touch with the Environmental Dept of the local council. They have an officer responsible for sorting out noise pollution issues and if you are in the habit of regularly making loads of noise at anti social hours (and I'm not suggesting you are) they have some unbelievable powers to do something about it, so probably best not to give them to much opportunity. Of course, a one off BBQ or party is OK.......

I know what it's like to live next to neighbours from hell... I've been on the receiving end... our current next door neighbours play loud music til 3 or 4 in the morning EVERY weekend, it gets tedious.

I try not to complain though, cos I know that the ART race can on my exhaust at 9 in the morning when they have hangovers is going to be just as annoying.

I'm on for a BBQ though.

Just try and be mature about it... sometimes there can be a little give and take...Like the Red Herring says - you can get into an awful lot of trouble over noise pollution etc

Go to your local pet shop and get a big bag of catnip.

Sprinkle on his front lawn.
