Well for example not everyone's got internet 24/7. Some might only have it at work & therefore fit their browsing through the 6 separate Brands threads around what they're getting paid for. Just a thought.

Sammy ... was showing my mummy your website pics and she really liked one or 2. She wanted me to print them out for her but i explained how thats not on, so she wants to possibly buy a couple of prints.

I'm sure there is something on your site re prices but i thought i'd ask here just to show others that not only is your work appreciated, some of us even buy them

I fully understand some may have image filters in place at work and also not the time to view them, however I would presume those with such filters know that, so looking at a photo thread will be somewhat futile until they were able to look on their home machine and those that haven't looked wouldn't be recorded in the number of "views" the forum records, none of which changes the fact that the thread details (at the time of my original post) were 5 replies (two of which were the OP's) and over 250 views.

I don't mean to be pedantic so sorry if it comes across that way...but actually, I don't know which photos are blocked and which aren't. I know some are and some aren't, but I don't know the whole list, so for me I always have to open the thread first.
I don't really think this is the problem though as I expect it only affects a few people, so yeah you are right that it still boils down to 250+ views and only 5 replies.

I think that's a pretty good hit rate TBH as there were only a few people on the actual trackday. And if you look at other threads, after the first 5 or 10 comments someone generally derails the thread and it becomes a ****-take.

Another point about the "views" count is that it dont take into account that i came in and out of this thread a hell of a lot of times, so it not like 250 differnet people came into the thread once each and didnt bother commenting.

And tbh a lot of photo thread have those kind of stats. Everyone likes to look at nice pics, weather they were there or not and dont always reply as they dont always have anything usefull/productive/interesting to post or they are one of the forums many lurkers.

I PM'd a "lurker" whos name i hadn't seen on the forum for over 2yrs. This person was never a prolific poster but did come to an AR once. So we do have "active" members that are purley voyeristic, they only like to watch, not get involved. Nothing wrong with that.

And i hate to say it but since some recent threads about "whats wrong with the org" etc where some people read it that their posts were kinda not welcome the post count for the forum as a whole has gone down dramatically and this is one of the syptoms of people not knowing if they can post a comment without somone seeing it as "chat" and thus deleting it.

I see both arguments.

However, is it really and truly such a big deal if the "comments rate" is significantly lower than the comments rate? I mean really? I know it is a lot of work to upload pictures and make a thread etc etc etc...but one should not "expect" people to comment.

I couldnt view the photos at work. Then I couldnt reply because my computer decided to dislike me. The once I finally got around to being able to reply, the photos were gone Its a shame that they have been deleted because they were really good and one should be proud of showing off their work, regardless of whether someone comments or not.

The "view" rate hasnt taken into account the same person viewing the thread multiple times.

I hope that this doesnt stop you from uploading your future work and photos sam because it would be a great shame if it did.

Why does this thread even exist still? There are no Brands Photos in it.

As far as I am aware, the issue is not about lack of comments of the photo's but more of owner rights. Is that not the case?
