Depends on quantity
![]() Are you thinking of the sachs or some other shock? Last edited by DavieSV; 29-09-09 at 08:10 PM. Reason: . |

I think it would be too short. Curvy needs a lot more height as stock, but it could be a good shock for pointy.
Unless of course you could make length up with clevis to about 345-350mm.

Thats the beauty of making the clevis, you can make it any length you like.
I made mine exactly the same length as the pointy shock with 5mm adjustment in either direction |

Well whack that up to full for starters
![]() Curvy shock is 337mm and needs a fair bit more before it feels anything like it's steering at same rate as you can think.

Even with the clevis I made, you could make it 342mm if you push it, and that would only still you 10mm of thread engagement, but with the thread being 16tpi (1.6mm pitch approx) I went on the side of caution with 22mm engagement.
All that is needed is a longer thread or longer legs on the clevis. ![]() So if your'e not thinking of a sachs, what are you thinking of? |

My freshly pwdercoated spring waiting to be put on the shock.
Bought from 21Quest ![]() ![]() This has a 475 lb/in rating which is more like the spring I need for my weight. A bit closer than the 600 lb/in one from the RSVR ![]() I should be fitting it this weekend and see about setting it all up again. |

Wow, that now looks mint
![]() As an aside, looking at your work, you seem vey good at what you do ![]() I might have a little job for, if my mate who used to work with CNC full-time can't find the time. Nothing major...just boring out a stem hole of a top yoke and an eccentric insert to fit. Cheers Ben |
