Not really.

I did welcome him in his opening thread.

You should have taken it to PM if you have a problem, not an open forum.

Feel free to contact me privately IF you still have a problem.

Why should I be ashamed of myself?

And how many times have accounts been opened just to spam the forum - usually its about cheap trainers from china, but as said I have had email spam in a similar vein.

I have said what I wanted to to the OP in my last post, I hope he accepts it and sticks around.

Guys Chill!!!! T.C didnt not at any point tell anyone what to wear. He was merely talking about his experiences of gear!!

And, if you read it properly, I think in a couple of the points he made, he was saying that not always the most expensive gear with the big brand name is the best!

this is all about the approach and timing. TC, good to have you around and you are more than welcome but arriving brand new onto a forum should be more about looking and listening rather than posting all your words of wisdom on day one. The unfortunate events of the past few days havent helped but this still stands regardless of that.

Feel free to tell me to mind my own business, I may not listen but you can still tell me

If T.C was a total newbie to biking then, yes, your point would stand, but he's not and I see no reason why he shouldn't be allowed to post his "words of wisdom".

If he had said "WEAR LEATHERS OR YOU WILL ALL BURN IN HELL WITH A FORK SHOVED UP YOUR ASS" then yeah, I can understand folk wanting to shoot him down in flames but he didnt!

sorry but I disagree, he could be the worlds expert but you dont walk into a new community and tell everybody what they need to know and do. the advice may well be excellent but its all in the delivery.

We'll agree to disagree on this. Yes, it may have been bad timing but I think people have reacted terribly!!

If people didn't like what he was saying, they could have PM'd him instead of humiliating him on an open forum.

And at no point did he tell anyone what to do or how to do it.

T.C. Stick around PLEASE.

Here's why...this is a fabulous place to be and we are a big family. We are all in mourning at the moment and I am pretty sure that while you may well have had a derail post from Hovis, our fallen, arguably most popular and most loved member, he himself was always to be seen suited and booted...in some quite spectacular fashion most of the time.

Emotions are high, some people want to read posts like yours, some people don't. I personally am a little shocked, but I hold every poster on this thread in very high regard and despite first impressions, if you stick around, one day you will too.

That's all I can say really. All I can think of at the moment is Hovis and give you banter as I know he would have done.....he loved this place and always made new members feel very welcome, so would definately not want you to leave.

I know your new here and maybe SK wasnt as tactful as he usually is (never though that would come from me!) but in light of recent events that you may or not be aware of, this is not the best time to be preaching about protective kit.

On the whole, this is a very friendly forum.

My advise (for what little its worth and bearing in mind whats written above), take it easy, sit back and relax.

Youll get more from the forum if you dont try to come across as overbearing and stroppy

MBK you have posted that people should read things before they post...

Please take your own advise and read above.
