Asda are good, 2 designer pairs for £95 or if you want ultra thin lenses (if ya prescription is high) and all the coatings they are £165 for 2 pairs.

Think the problem with reactor glasses is that the reaction time is too slow. By the time they've changed, so has the available light leaving you with dark lenses in a tunnel & then clear ones when you emerge into the blinding sun. ( remember that? )

reaction lenses don't work under my visor, as its a UV one. Also after many years of wearing them, my eyes got very sun sensitive.

Also when choosing specs with short sighted lenses ask them how they would be with certain styles. If I put my prescription in narrow square frames, I'd look like I had jam jar bottoms on my face. Get assistance off someone who knows their onions and not someone who just says they suit your face.

Good point. I need a strong perscription theres a big difference between both eyes, if I go from those frames with thin metal surrounds or those glasses that have no frame around the lens itself they dont look right, it looks weird, so I need a thicker frame as it hides how thick the lens is for my left eye.

Fizz, you can pay extra and have ultra thin lenses, no matter what your prescription the lense is slim so you can have any frame.

worth the extra to be able to have any frame and they are lighter too !

As I said before Asda do 2 x designer pairs with theses lenses for £165

AS A BAT, but theres no need to shout I don't think they are deaf!!!

Ultra thin lenses don't work in my case, as the prescription is very strong, its the way the middles go, something to do with angles or how they convex or summat...

No I cant. I've heard it all before, they tell me this every time I get my eyes tested and then when it comes to it, I say I want the ultra thin lenses and my left one is still like a milk bottle bottom...

I have a strange perscription and the left lens always ends up very thick, even if I do choose the ultra thin option... its looks daft with a thin frame or the frame less styles. I really like them, but it just doesnt work with my lens thickness.

Might be worth looking at lazer surgery fizz.
They say that the worse the eyesight is the better the surgery works.
I worked out that if My prescription changes over the next 3-6 years as it has been doing, the price of the surgery is offset against the cost of eye tests and new glasses etc.

They work out about the same in the long run.
