Whats wrong with trying something different?

I had a nsr125. mates have had a cg, a hornet, a cx500 and a vfr750

Ever tried to build something from scratch then use it immediately? they never work. Steady development is what its all about. hordes of small changes, all done knowing full well why you are doing them. they decided to try that because they thought a 'low centre of gravity' would improve handling. Its been proven many times it doesn't

Bar the hornet as I do not know what year that is and the CG, I think all the bikes you have stated, are not in production now.

But your personal experience is of one of their not so sucessful 125's?

I suggest you go down to honda and tell them what you think of their bikes and see if they can change your mind

No I haven't. But hey, sometimes change can be a good thing. Trial and error. I agree maybe trying a whole new package was not the greatest idea, but at least they tried.

lol we are all students, we cant afford brand new anything. Mines the newest bike among us, and its an 02.

we generally buy something old and cheap, then do lots of miles and watch it break down and rust away

Yeh will be going, have done for the past 3 years. Not sure which day though.

Its worth while if you need any new kit, my mate picked up a 2pc Arlen Ness suit for £200 when we could only find it for £400 at least elseware.

Haha fair enough, like I say though, give them a chance, if all you have an idea on is some older models, try and get on one of their newer bikes.

'hello, I'm in the market for a CBR600rr'
'ahh, right this way sir, we have one out back ready for a test ride'

Simples

Sounds like fun even if i wouldn't be able to afford one for around 4 years. I might just do that when my restriction period is up. only problem is it would make me frustrated at my tired suspension and old chassis

No. Have been the past 3 or 4 years, I think the format is a bit jaded. I need a new pair of boots but nothing else, and it's not worth a day trip to the NEC plus the entry fee just for that.
