Only if JT agrees...that would be a breach of contract and not worth the hassle for a single race...as that would be effectively sacking JT.

Unless it's part of the agreement with Yamaha and a condition of his World Superbike ride with them in 2010?

TBH, JT might as well sit it out, his reputation as a rider is totally shot and a thrashing off Spies on an identical bike (although I'd bet a few people would claim Spies had a better machine, we hear that a lot, probably they've been saying it about Edwards all year anyway) will only remind people of that.

JT has been schooled by Edwards this year to say the least, even after poaching Edwards' race engineer in some kind of school-boy back stabbing manouver. I'm not saying he's somehow not a good rider anymore, but how he managed to bounce back into the factory Yamaha WSBK team is a complete mystery, he must have a REEEAALLY good agent.

Yeah...agreement from JT....but JT dont look like a quitter to me and maybe this Spies thing will get some venom back in him...he has looked very tame this year...Spies being a star first time out...a bit far me thinks...but the Wsbk ride on a sweet machine is hardly a let down. I say again that JT certainly fell nice.
