that'll be my current comute route most of the time (unless i take the motorways). ok in the dark, but really sucks the fun out of it when the roads are wet or raining as well

Well tonight was worse than last friday. In combination with heavy rain, was very heavy traffic.

2 hours ot get home

I'll b on th train tomorrow, if its gonna take this long I may aswell spend the time sitting on a train and listening to music and not getting frustrated with idiots who dont use mirrors or turn signals

Still, least I made it home eh

Its all good practice tho mate. As long as you are warn and waterproofed enough of course.

The most annoying bit of wet weather riding for me is the visor misting, having to open it and letting rain get on the inside of it.
Oh and the fact that your average cager seems to think that in heavy rain they should drive even closer to the vehicle in front and the nice gap i've left in front of me to allow me to brake safely is an invitation for them to jump into it.

lol spidey, yea your right buddy, I get that alot too. So i leave triple gaps...or hide behind a lorry. Not so good at speeds above 10 mph though

It is good practise yes, and its all worthwhile experiance, but i'd far rather be getting home in an active manner than just rddy sitting there like a lemon, wasting fuel and getting a sore butt

Still maybe next week will be better, get a weekends bad weather out of the way

it was a thouroughly unpleasant ride home this evening. i thought it wasn't raining too much when i left and didn't bother putting my gloves inside my jacket. what a lazy school boy error! i hope it's better tommorrow.

its not the rain that bothers me, its the crud off the road. you know the stuff that when you wipe the visor, it smears and makes forward vison impossible!

I actually had a good ride home tonight. Was careful, but felt confident.

I prefer hard rain to a damp road. Bike seems better on fresh wet than greasy wet if you get what I mean.

tell me about it
I was turning from the A4 left onto Thurloe Place. Looking on the map it's such an easy left it's almost straight ahead as the A4 bears right. But on the road the 'ukin Council have traffic calmed the pavement so it juts out so much you almost have to turn back on yourself. Anyway with the wet roads & rain on my visor I couldn't see where the road ended & the pavement started so turned too early, hit the curb and went down
gosh the ZX crashes well almost no further damage so no sympathy required (unless its of the female let me kiss it better variety) feel free to or exclaim 'Oi they were my gloves'
