I had a Schuberth concept (flip), rode in it all the way to PL and back. It wasn't the nicest, lightest, or quietest lid. The thing the annoyed me the most was the fact that the jaw bit was touching my shoulder armour when doing a shoulder check.
But the lid worked perfect when my head hit the top yoke

I somehow think it was easier to use than the R1 I have now, and it had a collar on the bottom which made it warmer and less draughty.

I've also tried the new c3 (1,57kg) in HG, almost the same weight as the R1 (1,48kg). If someone gave me the 450 quid the c3 costs, I'd buy it.

Pillion or not, its your face thats the priority.
Go for a nice Shark lid....plenty of bleddy cool designs that are somewhat less butch than most, and pretty reasonably priced.

AGV looks good actually .....but literally 10mins ago ordered myself a Justissimo GT for £125 delivered ....seems to have afew more features too (tinted insert, etc)

Fingers crossed its good !! Much prefer the flipfronts for me - as only low speed commuting normally...
