Yes the first post was quite succinct and useful,
I've been trying to refit the std indicators but when the previous owner fitted the undertray he cut the battery tray/numberplate holder not in half but into 3 and now there is a 4in gap that a rather large amount of water could get through

That and the std numberplate holder is now held on with one bolt and a cable tie.....hence, anyone know where I can get a curvy tail tidy.

Cheers,
Pete

you can pick up an old original undertray for peanuts on fleabay, I bet.
I really aren't sure how the previous owner bodged mine together, but suppose cutting up an original that cost you a fiver ain't as bad as paying S2concept(Roca) 200 notes for a colourmatched one, and you have the right distanced holes for indies in a proper one.
IIRC you do need a number plate light though. And a nice reflector for the MOT for defo is required.

I'll have a gander over the weekend at mine and see if I can figure anything out of help. Bearing in mind I am preggers and have the memory of a seive right now!

THIS could be for a curvy

Cheers for the help dizzy, ebay seems to have led us to the same item, that undertray certainly looks right, and would not have brake light in a silly place or the stupid mini indicators I currently have.

However there is an original that you could play with so it was like mine

although its more expensive than they usually go for. People bin em round here!

MOT regs for bikes state that there must be a rear reflector, and it must face squarely to the rear, and be positioned in the centre line of the motorcycle (ie not offset to one side).

They don't mention anything about a number plate light.

I'm not particularly friendly with my local garage, but still occasionally use them for MOTs as they are the closest by miles. They will fail it if it doesn't have a reflector, but it has passed at least 2 with no number plate light.

But they are wrong. What's it going to take to convince you? There's MOT tester's on here that say it's not an MOT requirement (Mattnumbers)

Oh & name the 3 ppl pls because I can't see them.

AFAIK it is not a requirement for the MOT but it is a legal requirement. We can issue tickets for not having one, or a VREC.

Calm down, I'm not going to tell someone what is or is not legal if I don't know. Simple. Sorry if I caused offence.

As google is my friend it would appear for the MOT you don't need one but it also seems to be a legal requirement.......so should be included in the mot test. hmmmm
