They are an expensive tyre because of the Euro. I have had fantastic life out of mine on the thou though, even with all the track days, which makes them seem more reasonable. Best deal I've seen lately on dual compound is this. Just wizz them along to your local fitter with your wheels and it should only be about £15 - 20 on top of your purchase.

3 of the tyre place I rang said tyre prices are likely to shoot up 30% by the end of 2010, the UK is already the most expensive place to buy tyres in the EU.

Makes those VP2's at £135 pp look very tempting doesn't it.

They are a damn good price, not my size though, or the original posters. It only list the width not the profile too. Are they a funny tyre size?

The price of the Pilot Powers is supposed to be dropping with the introduction of the Pilot Pures.(Bike mag report). They can't be charging more than £250 for the Pures surelly? .

May be worth waiting a little bit?

Don't know. I might ask the Hottrax guys about the deal at Anglesey on Sunday. They had 180's up when I first saw them about a month ago.

everywhere I asked pilot road 2 were about £20 - £30 more than the pilot power 2.

People seem to love the power 2ct so the price will probably go up as the lovers start struggling to get them.

The pilot pures look strange, on the Michelin website the pures slot into between the power one and power 2ct.
