stupid question guys but what is the difference between 1/2 drive and 3/8 etc on torque wrenches and also when you look to buy where do you get the sockets from.What wrench would be the best to use for almost all the bike would 40nm-200nm be good enough

Yes 40-200 would be good enough. 1/2 inch drive stands for the socket sizes. The little square bit on the wrench is a 1/2 inch accross, so you would need sockets which are also 1/2 inch. Obviously most socket sets come with an adapter.
I would look at buying a generic socket set.....halfords pro are ok for the money or you can get something cheaper, but may not last as long and may rust etc. These often come with small 1/4 inch sockets and 1/2 inch.
