Hey, you could have two peeps like I had as a security bubble. You follow Chris, and ask Pete to come along and ride at the rear???....everyone will think you are on a Police Assisted ride, and leave you all alone. Lets face it, he looks and rides like the plod at times, and it has its great advantages
Plus you can play the game of the Scarlet Pimperel...cause when you look in your mirrors, you seek him here, you seek him there, OMG he seems to be everywhere

Plus with the 'bus' behind you whose going to argue with it..hehehee

Funny enough with my bashed up bike, matt black lid and black visor... most drivers seem very nice and polite

At this stage mid session "suggestions or corrections" are going to be little more than a distraction and possiblity just serve to unnerve you.

Cheers Mark.
Cheers Mark, good tips I ride better with him in front but doing the same stretch of road with him then behind is a good idea. Doubt we'll end up getting radios to be honest, by the time they've arrived I'll have been out a few times and the initial need for them will have passed hopefully lol.

Thanks for all the input everyone.

I got a nice engine talk last night of Chris (pillow talk too, how romantic haha) so I now understand the engine revs, throttle etc a lot better, so I'm hoping that will help

OMG hes soooo romantic

Just be aware, that you are the rider, and hes the mechanic, you aren't there to ride like him, you are there to ride like yourself, don't let him subliminally mould you into what he wants out of your riding.

I think it's a good idea. Not as good an idea as getting some proper, formal instruction, but as long as you both approach it with the right attitude, the occasional calm and concise bit of information or reassurance will be good for you.

Should add that I think a CBT alone comes nowhere near to preparing someone for the roads. Any kind of informed advice is better than attempting to simply pick it up as you go, who wants to learn basics from mistakes in those circumstances? But I'd still say some proper tuition would be a better way to spend £75 (or less).

If you're on about the CBT then £110 it cost me, plus another £45... worth it though!
