The only tyre you may get thet will do both is the new Dunlop sportsmax i think its called . Apparantly its awsome in wet and dry and lasts longer than most sports tyres.

Other than that i have got Storm 2 ultras on the R1 and they have no signs of wear after 1500 miles, stick like **** to a blanket in the dry and are so good in the wet. confidence inspiring everywhere.

I am doing a track day on them soon so be interesting to see how they hold out on that.

all the hype about needing sports tyres on the road is bollox TBH. As 99% of us cant ride fast enough for long enough to kep the temp up enough to keep optimum grip on the road.

And FWIW bridgestone tyres are utter dog toffee bag of wank.

I say get ST tyres, unless you get a good deal. It's more important to get good wet weather performance than superglue grip in the dry. Christ knows if my recent wet-weather off would or wouldn't have happened on ST tyres, but I was surprised to find my rs on the tarmac, I didn't think I was going particularly quick. I have been happy with my tyres, and I don't think I can honestly blame them for me crashing, but unless you only ride in the sun, I reckon ST is the way forward. I have Avon Vipers (old ones).

Especially with the ZXRs well known plushness of suspension

IMO very few people actually need sports tyres. I would not stray from sport touring type ones except for trackdays or a bike which I only ever got out on sunny days to hoon on.

Me riding close to but not actually nudging the limit on storm 2s was not far behind somebody pushing racetecs up to and past point of sliding. Really next to nothing in it. I am not finding limits of grip on storms often enough that it is a limiting factor so why increase that limit at massive cost...
